Drugs found abandoned in train, seized by GRP Katra

KATRA, Mar 23: General Railway Police Katra seized some banned drugs, packed in two bags, which were found abandoned in a train, here today.
During routine checking of the Trains at Railway Station Katra in the wee hours today, GRP Personnel noticed unattended bags lying in the train. On being informed, SHO P/S GRP Katra and SDPO Railways Katra, under the supervision of SSP Railways Katra Ranjit Singh Sambyal, rushed to the spot and searched the bags. 232 bottles of Onerex Syrup and 17 bottles of Wincerex Syrup, each bottle containing 100 Mls. liquid (Codeine Phosphate Syrup), were found in the bags.
SHO P/S GRP Katra Inspector Narinder Singh took these bags in his possession and seized. Later, these bags were handed over to the Dy Controller of Drugs Katra under proper procedure, for further appropriate action.
