JAMMU, Mar 18: A house belonging to a notorious drug peddler was attached in Samba district today, police spokesperson said.
The house of Masoom Ali alias ‘Kala’ was attached at Rakh Barotian in Vijaypur tehsil, under section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, a police spokesperson said.
Masoom Ali has been named in five FIRs registered at three different police stations in Samba, the spokesperson said. He has been lodged in the Udhampur Jail since last year. Police said notorious drug peddler Masoom Ali @Kala, son of Dulla is resident of Rakh Barotian tehsil Vijaypur district Samba. The action was taken by Police under section 68-F of NDPS Act.
He said the property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances by the drug peddler.
Police said Masoom Ali is a notorious drug peddler who was also booked under PITNDPS Act during the year 2025 and presently lodged in the District Jail Udhampur.
