JAMMU, Mar 31: Police today arrested two drug peddlers and recovered large quantity of intoxicants from their possession.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Miran Sahib police station laid a naka at Marallian and intercepted two persons.
During checking, police recovered 1800 capsules and 30 intoxicant bottles from their possession and both were arrested subsequently, he said.
They were identified as Narinder Pal Singh, son of Kaka of Chowala, RS Pura and Ashwani Kumar, son of Raj Kumar of Kotli Mian Fateh, spokesman added.
A case under FIR number 42/13 under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Miran Sahib police station and investigation started.
Police party led by SHO Ravi Singh Parihar made the arrest under the direct supervision of SDPO Diwakar Singh and SP Headquarters Shailender Singh.
