Drug peddlers arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Oct 9: Bahu Fort police arrested two drug peddlers along with heroin worth several lakhs.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Bahu Fort Police Station laid a naka and apprehended two persons along with around 13 grams heroin worth several lakhs.
The arrested persons have been identified as Rakesh Singh alias Rambo, son of Sukh Ram Singh, a resident of Gho Wali Gali, Trikuta Nagar and Sukhwinder Singh, son of Jagir Singh, a resident of Kharia.
A case under FIR Number 235/17 under Sections 8/21 Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the arrested persons at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Bharat Sharma and assisted by ASI Nazir and Constable Zafar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Arun Jamwal and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
