POONCH, July 24: The Police arrested a drug-peddler and recovered 120 grams of heroin from his possession in Ari area of Mendhar Sub Division today.
SSP Poonch, Dr Vinod Kumar said that a team headed by SDPO Mendhar, Zaheer Jafri during Naka at Ari bridge intercepted one Anjum Abbas, son of Safder Hussain, resident of Gursai and recovered 120 grams of heroin from his possession on frisking.
The accused was arrested and a case FIR No. 289/2021 under sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered against him. SSP said that investigation into the matter is going on to probe all linkages of accused.
