JAMMU, Mar 21: Gandhi Nagar police nabbed a drug peddler along with intoxicant capsules and banned syrup bottles.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station laid a naka at Nai Basti and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 500 intoxicant capsules and 30 bottles of banned syrup.
The accused has been identified as Rajeshwer Singh alias Bittu, son of Parmodh Singh of Rampura, Gandhi Nagar.
A case under FIR Number 72/16 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation of the case is going on.
Police team headed by SHO Gandhi Nagar DySP (P) Mir Imtiyaz Ahmed and assisted by PSI Vicky Thapa made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
