SURANKOTE, Oct 10: Police here today arrested an alleged habitual drug peddler and recovered about 10 gram of heroin like substance from his possession.
Cops from Police Station Surankote led by SHO Surankote, Aejaz Ahmed Wani under the supervision of SDPO Ajaz Ahmed Choudhary during a special Naka at Mirza Morh conducted physical search of one Aejaz Ahmed, son of Mumtaz Hussain, resident of Lathong, Tehsil Surankote, District Poonch and found 10 gram heroin-like substance in his possession.
The accused was taken into custody and a case in FIR No. 228/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Surankote in this regard.
The accused was allegedly supplying narcotics to youth of Sanie, Lathong and Lassana.
