SAMBA, Dec 31: A drug peddler was arrested with 9.80 grams of heroin-like substance in Samba district today.
Acting on reliable information, a team of Police Post Rakh Amb Talli laid a naka near Basantar Bridge and intercepted a pedestrian moving suspiciously from Rakh Barotian towards Samba via Border Road, a police official said.
On search of the suspicious individual, he said, 9.80 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered.
Accordingly, the accused individual was arrested and booked in case FIR number 315/2025 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Samba and further investigation taken up, he added.
