Srinagar, July 28: Police today said to have arrested a drug peddler in Handwara and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Kralgund during patrolling at Ashpora road near Kralgund Hospital apprehended a suspected person identified as Ikhlaq Ahmad Mir son of Gh Ahmad resident of Badbugh.
“During checking, 100 grams of charas have been recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to the police station where he remains in custody,” police said.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 54/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Kralgund and further investigation has been taken up.
