RAJOURI, June 19: The police foiled a narcotics smuggling bid and recovered charas from a peddler in Rajouri area today.
Official sources said that in a drive against drug menace, patrolling party of Police Station Rajouri led by PSI Suleman Choudhary during checking in Rajouri area apprehended one person namely, Javid Hussain Shah, son of Mushtaq Shah, resident of Darhali Morh in Rajouri.
During checking, team made a recovery of over 200 grams of Charas and Rs 41,000 cash from the accused. The peddler has been arrested and a case FIR No. 329/2022 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered against him.
