SRINAGAR, Oct 14: Continuing its drive against the drug peddlers and its propagators, Awantipora Police arrested one more drug peddler from Reshipora area in Awantipora district.
Acting on information, a team of Police Post Reshipora headed by Incharge Inspector Sameer Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora Mumtaz Ali Bhatti placed a special naka at Kawani crossing and arrested one drug peddler identified as Suhail Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Gani Dar, resident of Dogripora.
The arrested person was moving in suspicious circumstances at Kawani crossing and during search 6.5 kg of grinded cannabis was recovered from the possession of the accused.
In this connection, a case FIR Number 227/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS was registered at Police Station Awantipora.
