JAMMU, Dec 8: A drug peddler was arrested with 50 grams of heroin from Sidhra area here today.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Post Sidhra led by SDPO Nagrota Akash Kohli, assisted by SHO Nagrota Inspector Vishav Partap Singh and incharge Police Post Sidhra PSI Arun Kumar, while on patrolling duty on National Highway Sidhra, rounded up a suspected person, who was on his way from Nagrota towards Narwal.
On search of the suspect, identified as Bagh Hussain of Mukerian, Hoshiyarpur, Punjab, he said that 50 grams of heroin was recovered.
The accused has been accordingly booked in case FIR number 508/2023 Under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Nagrota and further investigation taken up.
