BILLAWAR, June 2: A drug peddler was arrested with 4.29 grams of heroin-like-substance from Dadwara area of Billawar on Sunday, police said.
Ankit Supolia of Dharamkot, Kathua was arrested with the consignment by a team of police station Billawar led by SHO concerned, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO Billawar Neeraj Padyar during routine checking of vehicles at Dadwara near a private school, they said.
He was accordingly booked in case FIR number 85/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Billawar and further investigation taken up, police said.
According to them, a vehicle used in the commission of the offence has also been seized from the accused.
