LAKHANPUR, Aug 17: A drug peddler was held along with 3200 intoxicant capsules and 200 tablets at lakhanpur bus stand, today.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, a police team from Lakhanpur Police Station led by SHO K D Bhagat intercepted a person.
During physical checking of the person identified as Navesh Singh, son of Prem Singh of Janglote, Kathua, 3200 intoxicant capsules and 200 tablets were recovered from him. He was arrested on spot.
A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Lakhanpur Police Station and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the overall supervision of Mohan Lal, SSP Kathua.
