Srinagar, Aug 25: Police today said that a drug peddler was held here in Qamarwari area of city here and 1500 bottles of codeine phosphate were recovered from his possession.
A police spokesman said that police intercepted a Santro car bearing registration number JK04B-2299 driven by Showkat Khan during checking at Qamarwari. “On checking 1500 bottles of codeine phosphate were recovered from the vehicle,” he said.
The spokesman said that a case under FIR number 198/2017 under Section 8/22 NDPS Act was registered and investigation was taken up.
