JAMMU, Sept 14: Akhnoor Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Inspector Hilal Azhar under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial laid a naka and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 8.8 grams heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Vishal Singh alias Jony, son of Dhannater Singh of Chandian Akhnoor.
A case FIR Number 266/2022 under section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigation started.
