JAMMU, Jan 19: Pouni Chak Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Post Pouni Chak led by PSI Nitish Khajuria and assisted by ASI Dalip Singh laid a naka near Colonel Colony and apprehended a drug peddler along with 8.5 grams heroin.
The arrested person was identified as Satyam Bhagat, son of Pramodh Kumar, a resident of Colonel Colony Talab Tillo District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 28 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
The arrest and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sunil Singh and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
