Drug peddler arrested with heroin

UDHAMPUR, Aug 12: Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, a team from Udhampur Police Station led by SHO Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary and comprising of SI Vikas Kumar, SgCt Abdul Qayoom, SgCt Iftkhar Ahmed and SgCt. Sandoor Singh under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Udhampur Kulbir Handa and SSP Udhampur Mohammad Rayees Bhat laid a naka near mini-buses stand near circular road and accosted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 3 grams of heroin from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Yash Paul, son of Prithvi Paul Singh, a resident of District Kathua, at present near Dak Bungalow Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 410/18 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation of the case is going on.
