SAMBA Apr, 26: Vijaypur police in district Samba today arrested one drug peddler and recovered 10 grams of Heroin (Chitta) from him.
Acting on reliable information, a police party of Vijaypur headed by Inspector, Rakesh Bamba, SHO under the supervision of S. Baljeet Singh, SDPO Vijaypur during naka checking at Jakh, Vijaypur intercepted one person namely Deepak Kumar, S/o Romesh Kumar, R/o Swankha, Vijaypur and recovered 10 grams of Heroin (Chitta) from his possession. The accused has been arrested and contraband item was also seized.
Police said in this regard a case FIR No. 65/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in P/S Vijaypur and investigation started. SSP Samba Dr Koshal Sharma has issued directives to all SHOs of the district to further intensify the drive against the drug abuse as this menace is consuming the youth of the society.
