JAMMU, Mar 28: Gandhi Nagar police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered 90 grams heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, during patrolling, a team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station led by SHO Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia under the supervision of SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani nabbed a drug peddler near Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar.
The accused has been identified as Shahnawaz Ahmed alias Shah Manzoor, son of Manzoor Ahmed of District Shopian, Kashmir.
A case under FIR Number 80/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Gandhi Nagar Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
