SAMBA, Apr 23: Acting against the drug menace and its propagators, Bari Brahmana police has arrested a drug peddler and recovered 50 grams of Charas from his possession.
A police party of P/S Bari Brahmana headed by Inspector, Darshan Singh, SHO under the supervision of Sunil Kesar, SDPO Bari Brahmana & Faisal Qureshi, Additional, SP Samba while performing patrolling duty in Kundanpur area of Bari Brahmana intercepted a person who was moving under suspicious circumstances. During his frisking two Challis containing 50 grams charas was recovered from his possession. The accused has been identified as Bashir Ahmed, S/o Ali Mohd Bhat of Magaam Kokernag, Anantnag A/P Kala Gate Industrial area Bari Brahmana. He was arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized. In this regard a case FIR No. 54/2019 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
