JAMMU, Jan 29: Janipur Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 124 grams cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Janipur led by SHO Inspector Aijaz Haider laid a naka and intercepted a scooty bearing registration number JK02CV-5595.
During checking, police team recovered 125 grams cannabis from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Jaspreet Singh, son of late Navtej Singh, a resident of Bhour Camp, Gadigarh, District Jammu.
A case FIR Number 07/2022 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
Police team led by SHO Police Station Janipur Inspector Ajaz Haider made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar.
