JAMMU, Dec 20: Peer Mitha Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Peer Mitha Police Station led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali laid a naka near Peerkho bridge and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 356 grams cannabis from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Javed Ahmed Nazar, son of Nazir Ahmed, a resident of Sangaldhan District Ramban, at present Brijbehara.
A case under FIR Number 71/2020 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Peer Mitha Police Station and investigation started.
