Drug peddler arrested with 1.20 kgs cannabis

JAMMU, Aug 3: Banihal police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 1.20 kilograms of cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Banihal Police Station laid a naka near T Chowk and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police team recovered 1.20 kilograms of cannabis from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Fazan Ahmed Dar, son of Mushtaq Ahmed Dar of Lodura Tehsil Watergam District Baramulla.
A case under FIR Number 108/19 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation taken up.
Police team led by SHO Banihal Inspector Abid Hussain Bhukhari made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Sajjad Sarwar, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
