KATRA, July 11: GRP Katra has arrested a drug peddler and seized large quantity of intoxicants from his possession.
The recovery included 6400 capsules and 600 tablets while identity of the accused has been established as Ramesh Singh, son of Krishan Chand of Sadota, Pancheri, Udhampur.
A Police team, under the directions of SDPO Railway Kamlesh Shoor and overall supervision of SSP Railway Katra, Ashok Kumar Sharma, arrested the accused during routine checking of passengers and their luggage at Railway Station Katra, last night.
In this connection, a case under NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station GRP Katra and further investigation was in progress.
