JAMMU, Aug 31: Police under “Operation Sanjeevani” arrested a drug peddler along with heroin.
As per police sources, based on specific information, a police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal laid a naka at Purana Pind Chowk and intercepted a Swift car bearing registration number JKO2BJ-2033.
During checking, police recovered 3.5 grams of heroin, one syringe, two cigarette lighters and three spoons and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Govind Singh Chib, son of Manjit Singh Chib of Tallen, Tehsil Suchetgarh.
A case under FIR Number 201/17 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at police station RS Pura and investigation started.
