Drug peddler arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Nov 22: A drug peddler has been arrested along with 100 grams of heroin worth Rs 10 lakh.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station laid a naka near Valmiki Chowk and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 100 grams of heroin worth Rs 10 lakh from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Nisar Ahmed Gagroo, son of Ali Mohammad Gagroo of Shree Mohalla, Soaf Shali District Anantnag.
A case under FIR Number 267/18 under section 8/21/22 NDP5 Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia and assisted by SI Rohit Bhagat and HC Sunil Thakur made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani, SP South Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
