JAMMU, Aug 11: City police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler along with 120 grams charas.
As per police sources, a team from City police station during patrolling apprehended a drug peddler along with 120 grams charas at Raghunath Temple Chowk.
The accused has been identified as Bharat Kapahi, son of Darshan Kapahi, a resident of Malhotra Mohallah.
A case under FIR Number 41/17 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at City police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO City Inspector Sunil Kumar Arya made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
