Drug peddler arrested with cannabis

JAMMU, Sept 26: Bakshi Nagar police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bakshi Nagar Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 1.600 kilograms of cannabis from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Sikander, son of Antony, a resident of Rehari.
A case under FIR Number 132/18 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Bakshi Nagar Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
