KISHTWAR, Dec 27: Chatroo Police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Chatroo led by Inspector Parvaiz Khanday alongwith his team under the supervision of DySP DAR Kishtwar. Zia-Ul-Haq laid a naka near Guzar bridge and intercepted a pedestrians.
During checking, police team recovered 83 grams cannabis from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him on the spot.
The arrested person has been identified as Chunni Lal, son of Thakar Dass, a resident of Khawra Chatroo District Kishtwar.
A case FIR Number 74/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Chatroo and investigation started.
