Drug peddler, 3 gamblers arrested

JAMMU, Aug 14: Talab Tillo police arrested a drug peddler and three gamblers.
As per police sources, during a patrolling, a team from Talab Tillo Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a man, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 8.5 grams heroin from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Vinod Kumar, son of Joginder Pal, a resident of Dogra Hall, Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 90/18 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Nowabad Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Talab Tillo Police Post arrested three gamblers and recovered Rs 7000 stake money and playing cards from their possession.
The arrested persons have been identified as Joginder Sharma alias Kinda, son of Shajju Ram, Sagar Bakshi, son of Verinder Bakshi and Sahil Singh, son of Sunder Singh, all residents of Bakshi Nagar.
The arrested gamblers have been booked under Section 13 Gambling Act by Talab Tillo Police.
Police team led by Incharge Talab Tillo Police Post SI Vikrant Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Nowabad Inspector Neeraj Bhagat, SDPO West Pranav Mahajan, SP City GL Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
