Drugs inspectors appointed in all States of Indian Union are gazetted, except in J&K State. It is requested to the Chief Minister and the Health Minister to redress this genuine demand. Moreover empowerment is very important to fully exercise the Statutory Powers, as per rules under, Drugs and Cosmetics, Act, 1940, Drugs Price Control Order (DPCO), 1985. Our State is having 2nd largest per capita consumption of drugs and empowerment of Drug Inspectors is the need of the hour.
