RAJOURI, June 22: A team from the office of Drug Controller, Jammu during surprise inspection lifted medicine samples from at least a dozen Medical shops here today and sent for testing to Laboratories.
Reports said a team from Jammu led by Dy Drug Controller Farida Parveen conducted extensive inspections of nearly a dozen medical shops in Rajouri today and lifted samples of various drugs. Though department has claimed that it was routine inspection yet the sources indicated that in view of the infamous sub-standard/ fake drugs scandal in J&K, Drug Controller staff has become active on the High Court directives.
A senior officer when contacted said that it was just routine inspection and the seized drug samples have been sent to the labs for testing. Action would be taken if the medicines are found sub-standard, the officer added.
