JAMMU, Aug 7: Jammu Kashmir Teacher/Master Association (JKTMA) has demanded that all the Distance mode degree holders in Science stream should be dropped from seniority list without giving them any chance on basis of Bonafide certificate.
In the monthly meeting of the Association, JKTMA President Rakesh Singh said that it was not difficult for such candidates to obtain the required Bonafide certificate from tuck shops. Further, he added, Circular 940 in this regard itself is disputed and full of flaws made by then Education Minister only to adjust some blue eyed distance mode degree holders compromising with the quality of education in Govt schools which is retrograde step.
He stressed that only such distance mode degree holders should be considered for promotion who are enrolled prior to December 2005 as per Order 252-HE and SRO-339.
The meet urged Principal Secretary School Education Department, B K Singh to release supplementary list of DPC of Teachers/Masters to Lecturers in Science stream by dropping all Distance mode Degree holders from the DPC list permanently.
JKTMA also demanded to demote all such I/C Lectures in discipline of Science, who are promoted till date as they are overdated blank -cheque/empty vessels in their subjects and unnecessary burden on state-exchequer. The meet urged PSC not to regularise such Incharge Lectures.
As per supreme court Verdict “No distance degree in science stream is to be considered for obtaining Govt job and also for DPC.
JKTMA also opposed entrance test for DPC as it only breeds corruption by leakage of papers as seen recently in JKSSB SI exam.
