RAMBAN, July 15: A driver was killed after a tanker rolled down into gorge near Peerah area here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02CL-3270 was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu.
On getting information, a police team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body of the driver to District Hospital Ramban.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
The deceased was identified as Javed Ahmad, son of Mohammad Yousuf, a resident of Chamalwas, Tehsil Banihal District Ramban.
A case FIR Number 110/2022 under sections 279 and 304 A IPC has been registered at Police Station Chanderkote.
