Driver killed, 3 Vaishno Devi pilgrims injured in road mishap

KATHUA, Dec 7: A driver was killed, while three Vaishno Devi pilgrims were seriously injured after their Bolero bearing number HR08 -3664 hit a stationary truck at Londi More near Hiranagar late last night.
According to police the driver of the Bolero was identified Sandeep, son of Ram Paul of Karnal Haryana. While those injured were identified as Samitri Devi, Wife of Jagat Amba, Anju Devi, Wife of Divender and Satish Kumar son of Vishawa Nath all residents of Karnal, Haryana.
They were taken to Sub District Hospital Hiranagar where the doctors declared driver as brought dead while the three injured were referred to GMC Jammu for treatment.
The body of driver was handed over to his family members after postmortem today by police for last rites. The Hirangar Police has registered a case.
The Bolero was on its way from Karnal to Mata Vaishno Devi and the driver was in fast speed.
However the people of the area have accused the authorities for increasing accidents on National Highway.
