JAMMU, Nov 23: Sub Judge, Ramnagar, Renu Dogra today convicted a bus driver for rash and negligent driving and awarded him two years imprisonment and Rs 10,000 fine.
The convict has been identified as Pardeep Kumar son of Mulkh Raj R/o Gordi Khas.
He was driving the bus No. 3255 JK02K from Udhampur to Patyari on April 27, 2010 when the bus met with an accident leading to killing of two persons.
An FIR No. 58/2010 was registered against him at Ramnagar police station.
The Sub Judge today pronounced judgment in the case and sentenced the accused to two years imprisonment and Rs 10,000 fine. In case of default in payment of fine, the accused will further undergo simple imprisonment of two months.
