Driver among 5 injured as vehicle plunges into gorge

BHADERWAH, Jan 24: Five persons including a driver received injuries, when the Maruti car they were travelling in, skidded off the road and plunged into Neeru nallah at Senai, Bhalla, here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number HP34A-3281 was on its way from neighboring Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh to Bhaderwah, when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve and the vehicle plunged into gorge Neeru nallah, causing injuries to five persons including driver.
After getting information, a team from Bhalla Police Post led by SI Sunil Parihar rushed to the spot and rescued the injured persons.
All the injured persons were shifted to PHC Bhalla, from where they were later referred to District Hospital Doda for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Daleep Singh, son of Hans Raj, his wife Pushpa Devi, Tula Ram, son of Devi Chand, Lekh Raj, son of Tula Ram and Prem Lal, son of Narsingh, all residents of Tesa area of Chamba, HP.
A case under FIR Number 3/17 under Section 279 and 337 RPC has been registered Police Station Bhaderwah and further investigation into the case is going on.
