JAMMU, Oct 17: Dr Vishal Raina, Junior Agriculture Extension Officer in the Department of Agriculture Jammu, J&K Government, has been conferred with Excellence in Extension Award (Agricultural Science) for the year 2017.
He has been awarded on the recommendation of advisory committee of the Society for Bioinformatics and Biological Sciences, in recognition of his meritorious and significantly outstanding scientific contribution in the field of agriculture extension.
The award was presented during International Conference on Recent Trends in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology for Sustainable Development held at SKUAST-Jammu. He also presented his research paper entitled “Promoting Livelihoods through-Agricultural Entrepreneurial Ventures” during conference. The paper discussed about the importance of youth, a great “asset” to nation and it should be converted into “resource”.
