JAMMU, Oct 18: Secretary-cum-Scientific Director, Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has inducted Prof Dr Vishal R Tandon, from Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu as a member of Subject Expert Committee (SEC) established under Materiovigilance Programme of India (MvPI).
The subject expert committee will help to improve patient safety and welfare of Indian population by monitoring and analyzing the adverse events related to medical devices collected at country level and thereby helping the regulatory agency i.e. Drug Controller General of India in reducing the risk associated with use of medical devices at country level.
Dr Vishal’s nomination as a member of Subject Expert Committee has followed based on his long experience, expertise and standing in medical device sector. He is already an expert member at CDSCO DCGI, Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
