JAMMU, Feb 27: Prof (Dr) Vishal R Tandon has become the first Pharmacologist to clear Credentialed Indian Menopause Society–Menopause Practitioner/Expert (CIMP) Exam. By clearing this exam, he has joined the pool of 446 IMS certified/qualified Menopause experts of India.
This year 93 specialist doctors cleared this exam from the country. Examination of CIMP is a very prestigious online exams of Indian Menopause Society, the goal of which is to produce highly qualified and trained medical fraternity across the country after exhaustive six month deliberations/teaching and learning through online mode to the trained human resource which are well verse to promote multidisciplinary, multi factorial, comprehensive approach towards the care of menopausal and aging individuals.
Dr Tandon will be awarded scroll of honour in the Annual National Conference of Indian Menopause Society (27th IMSCON) to be held at Vadodara in the month of June. He said it is very important to have menopause multi-speciality established in every medical college of J&K to provide comprehensive care to the aging people which contribute a large population now because of increased life expectancy in India.
Pertinently, Dr Tandon is also Chief Editor of Journal Midlife Health (Pubmed Indexed Journal) at present and has contributed at National level in framing treatment guidelines in the field of Menopause as an expert.
