JAMMU, Dec 30: Hakam Be, 75, mother of prominent Gasteroentroligst of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Shoket Chowdhary passed away today after very brief illness at her Bhatindi residence.
She was taken to her ancestral village at Dandakote in Darhal area of Rajouri district where she was buried this evening.
The burial was attended by prominent people from all walks of life.
Hakam Be is survived by her husband Mohammad Shaffi Haqla, Retired Headmaster, Dr Shoket Chowdhary and Ashraf Haqla, Chief Accounts Officer, both sons.
Large number of people visited ancestral residence of Dr Shoket Chowdhary and expressed condolences to him on the sad demise of his mother.
