JAMMU, May 16: The senior Regional Director, IGNOU Dr V Venugopal Reddy, has been appointed as Director, Regional Services Division (RSD), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for a tenure of three years.
Dr Reddy has been working with this University since February 1987. He has a varied experience in the design and development of Courses and programmes as well as delivery of Student Support Services.
He is very much involved in training/orienting functionaries and faculty involved in the student support across Regional Centres and Study Centres.
Dr Reddy has worked in different capacities in the University as Faculty, Assistant Director, Deputy Director, Regional Director and Director, Research Unit in the past. He has published a few books and number of research papers in journals/edited books on the areas of Open and Distance Learning. He has also presented number of research papers in national and international conferences.
He is very much involved in the corporate affairs of the University as Member of Board of Management, Member of Academic Council, and Member of Student Support Committee.
