Jammu, Oct 21: Dr T. R. Raina Administrator Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital Ambphala Jammu & former Professor Head Transfusion Medicine Govt. Medical College Jammu was today re-elected as Secretary General of Governing Body of Indian Society of Blood Transfusion & Immunohamatology (ISBTI) for the second term. Dr Raina took over this assignment during the Valedictory function of 39th National Annual Conference of ISBTI which was held at Govt. Medical College Patiala.
ISBTI is a registered society with State chapters in all the States working for the promotion of voluntary blood donation and scientific advancements in the Blood Transfusion Medicine .
The scientific programme included topics on advancements in blood banking and promotion of Voluntary Blood Donation and how to achieve 100% Voluntary Blood Donation in the country.
The conference was attended by more than 700 delegates from across the country which included experts in the field of Transfusion Medicine, Blood Bank Officers from Punjab & Haryana States, Blood Donors, Donor Motivators, Camp Organisers, and faculty members of Govt. Medical College Patiala.
Dr Raina as Secretary General of the ISBTI got conducted the Governing Body Meeting, Annual General Body Meeting and Editorial Board meeting during the conference.
