Dr Raina delivers lecture on ‘Blood donation & Yoga’

JAMMU, June 18: After givining more than 32 years of life in blood banking and promotion of Voluntary Blood Donation across the country and having inclination right from the childhood towards science of Yoga, Dr T. R. Raina, former Prof Head Blood Bank Govt. Medical College Jammu & former Programme Director Advanced Yoga Centre Govt. Medical College Jammu has given a new concept on ‘How to achieve voluntary blood Donation by adopting yogic way of life” in India and also across the globe.
Dr Raina was invited by the management of Sourashtra Medical & Educational Trust Rajkot Gujrat under a Project “LIFE” where under many community based projects have been taken and one of the achievement of this project was setting up a standalone Blood Bank namely Life Blood Centre since 1981.
This Life Blood Centre has been awarded Developing Countries ISBTI Award 2020 by the International Blood Transfusion Society. They are also having a Health and Wellness Centre since 2003 with full fledged facilities for conducting Yoga classes & certificate courses & research activities in the field of yoga.
Dr Raina delivered a lecture through PPT presentation on the topic ” How to achieve 100% Voluntary blood donation across the globe by adopting Yogic way of life” which was attended by more than 200 participants which included prominent citizens, blood donors , donor motivators, camp organizers, doctors, members of the management and yoga teachers and yoga sadakas.
