Dr Pandita delivers lecture on vehicle insurance

JAMMU, Feb 8: An awareness lecture on motor vehicle insurance during National Road Safety Week was organized by Air Force Wing, Jammu at the Air Force Station (AFS), in which defense personnel of Air Force Wing were sensitized on various aspects of prevention of road accidents.
While welcoming participants, Wing Commander, S. Pandita made power point presentation showing detailed statistics on road accidents in India and explained importance of conducting such functions.
On this occasion, Dr. Daleep Pandita, Senior Divisional Manager of New India Assurance Company (NIAC ) was guest of honour, who deliberated upon importance of motor vehicle insurances particularly Third Party Insurance covers. He stated that during last year NIAC alone settled more than 35,000 motor accident claims in the State of Jammu and Kashmir, out of which about 1,000 claims were caused due to fatal accidents pertaining to bodily injuries or deaths.
While presenting memento to Dr. Pandita in this function, Anand Kumar, Group Caption, AFS, Jammu complimented entire gathering and stressed on various measures to be adopted by public to ensure the safety of road users.
