Dr Kaur stresses on education to check violence against women

JAMMU, Nov 24: Chairperson of NGO Support and of National Human Rights Social Justice Council of India, Dr. Navneet Kaur organized a programme on International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women.
Speaking on the occasion Inspector Arti Thakur, SHO Women Cell Gandhi Nagar said that she along with her dedicated team works towards the elimination of violence against women and in addressing their issues and resolving most of them to make a better society.
Dr. Navneet Kaur felicitated Inspector Arti Thakur and other staff of Women Cell for their excellent contributions and services to the society.
Dr. Kaur also stated that most women are those who discriminate against other women and create scope for men to follow the suit.
She said that being an educated woman one should give basic education to others.
She also said that women should be made aware about their rights so that they do not become victims of sexual, verbal, domestic and other type of violence.
