JAMMU, Nov 15: Dr. Jitendra Singh MoS (Independent Charge) DoNER, MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Atomic Research and Department of Space inaugurated a Five -Day Multimedia Exhibition organized by Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Jammu to commemorate 550th Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji today at Gurduwara Singh Sabha, Shri Guru Nanak Nagar, Jammu.
The Multimedia Exhibition depicts the life, teachings, sermons and philosophy of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji through digital displays and interactive interfaces to engage public at large. Various facets of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s philosophy like Kirat Karo, Naam Japo and Vand Chakko are being showcased in the exhibition.
During the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Singh in his address said that the year 2019 marked celebrations of many important events like 550th Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Ji, opening of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, Abrogation of Article 370 and 144th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
He said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji was a not just a religious leader of a particular religion but a Guru for whole humanity.

He also said that preaching of Guru Nanak Dev Ji has relevance for the people of all castes, creed and religions.
S. T.S Wazir, Chairman Gurudwara Prabandhak Board, J&K appreciated the efforts of ROB and expressed his gratitude towards Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Govt of India for organising such events throughout the country especially in Jammu in order to familiarise the young generations about the teachings and philosophy of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
