AHMEDABAD, Oct 10: Union Minister and Election Co-Incharge for Gujarat, Dr Jitendra Singh, along with BJP National General Secretary Bhupendra Yadav, State General Secretary (Org.) Bhikubhai Dalsania and other senior party leaders, today held an election review meeting at the State BJP headquarters here.
The meeting focused on the inferences drawn so far through a constituency-wise assessment exercise in different parts of the State in view of the upcoming Assembly polls. The analysis was particularly devoted to the 35 Assembly seats in South Gujarat, primarily consisting of Surat city and the surrounding districts.
A booth-wise statistical evaluation was done for each constituency, down up to the level of the Mandal and the Shakti Kendra. A resume was also obtained about the Booth In-charges and Shakti Kendra Pramukhs.
Dr Jitendra Singh shared inputs about the Mandal-wise meetings conducted by him over the last two weeks in different parts of the State. He also exchanged notes about the categorization of different booths under A, B, C & D category respectively.
Bhupendra Yadav also discussed the ongoing Election Yatras in different parts of the State, while State General Secretary Bharat Sinh Parmar gave an account of the arrangements being made for one of the biggest public rallies to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat on 16th of this month.
Later, in an informal chat with media persons, Dr Jitendra Singh disclosed that after the Prime Minister’s rally on 16th and then Diwali on 19th, he will spend a longer period of time at a stretch in the Surat zone. He also disclosed that a similar election review meeting will again be convened on 30th of this month.
