JAMMU, Dec 21: Union Minister in PMO with Independent Charge of North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh asked the youth to channelize their energy for the nation building to fulfill the dreams of Swami Vivekandna a revolutionary saint of India.
Addressing the meetings of youth from Reasi district and Swami Vivekananda Foundation Chenani Ghordi of Udhampur district here, today, Dr Jitendra Singh said youth force is a great power to change the destiny of the nation and take it to the heights. This was the vision of Swami Vivekananda and Prime Minster, Narendra Modi is also working on the same lines. He said Narendra Modi led Government has taken various steps and launched many schemes for the empowerment of youth in the country as he fully believes that without the empowerment of youth the dream of making India a Vishaw Guru will be incomplete.
Dr Jitendra Singh said India is a young country as about 70 percent of its population comprises of youth. So a great responsibility lies on their shoulders towards the nation building, he added.
While expressing full faith in the youth of the country, Dr Jitendra Singh said they can’t be corrupted or come under any influence and they know better what is good and wrong for them as well as their country. The youth even can’t come under any influence while casting their vote as they better understand that which party and leader can fulfill the aspirations of millions of countrymen, he added.
He asked the youth to be united and work for nation building as per the dreams of both Swami Vivekananda and Narendra Modi. He also urged them to take full advantage of various schemes launched by the present NDA Government for their welfare especially while referring to Start up India, Stand up India and Skill Development.
He said BJP led Union Government is committed to welfare and upliftment of youth and asked them that instead of looking as job seekers they should work hard and take advantage of welfare schemes meant for them to become job givers.
Dr Jitendra Singh said the Modi Government wants youth to become self reliant so that they should not look towards any body for help but lead a respectable and dignified life.
He cautioned them from those parties and leaders who misled the people of the country as well as State for years together for their vote bank politics and said had they been sincere towards the masses and the country, the country should not have to wait for 70 long years for development works and projects launched during last four years by Narendra Modi Government.
The youth also showed concern over drug addiction, demanded construction of war memorial in honour of Kamal Kishore a local martyr of Reasi in the town, work on KV Reasi be expedited while the youth from Chenani- Ghordi Constituency owing allegiance to Swami Vivekananda Foundation highlighted the problems of the area and complimented the Union Minister for taking keen interest in construction of Ghordi -Udhampur road.
